G.S. Chawla the Father of Dholi Sartaj Singh and Elder brother of well-known Punjabi Singer Bhuppi is a writer and a Singer of great repute and has penned down all the songs of “Jogiya Khalli-Balli” “Wallah Wallah” “Naag Ishq Da Ladya” and “Ishqe Di Been” and the music is composed by him. The distinguished element of his compositions is the subtle use of the classical touch in between the robust folk or the racy pop which adds to the aroma of his live performance. The terrific power of rock that sways you off your feet, the lilting rhythm of the pop, which compels you to tap your feet on the ground. His way of singing and presenting Boliyans and other Punjabi/Bollywood songs force you to break into a frenzied caper. G.S. Sartaj Singh Chawla, Born and grew up in India (New Delhi). Belong to Music Punjabi pop industry. Started playing Tabla since 8years old, then start playing Dhol around 10 years of age, since then Playing Dhol is my passion and becomes my Hobby. I used to go with my Dad and his younger brother for their live Singing stage shows back in 1998’s to observed their Skills & performances and still pursuing. I learnt Dhol just watching them all the time and practice it. I used to play Dhol and participated in Bhangra competitions back at school times.
